Oktoberfest hits PKR

Well it may be a little later than the traditional Oktoberfest in Munich, but PKR have just started running a festival of their own

PKR’s Oktoberfest will consist a number of different touramentswhich will be held over the course of the next ten days with a guaranteed prize pool of $270,000.

The event will also include an Omaha tournament and will consist of various tournaments formats such as 6 seaters, Terminator tournaments and bounty games. There will also be two free rolls with a guaranteed prize fund of $5,000. To enter one of these freerolls, players will need to finish in the top 50 in one of the other Oktoberfest events.

PKR will also be screening some of these events on their own TV channel meaning that those players who succesfully get to the later stages of a particular tournament can expect to see their game beamed to over 15 million people across Europe.

Oktoberfest starts tonight at 19.00 GMT with a Guarnateed No Limit Hold’em event.

20 players will compete in a second $5K freeroll. These players will consist of the ten Oktoberfest event winners and ten of the highest finishers on the leaderboard.
