PKR introduce ‘Phase Tournaments’

Online poker site PKR have introduced a new kind of tournament aimed at those people who like the convenience of Sit and Go play but the big money prizes of the regular MTT’s.
Phase tournaments are actually tiered tournaments that allow players to enter for as little as $3.60 and walk away with as much as $700.
As the diagram below explains, the top players of each phase are promoted to play in the next level and even those players who finish a little lower down the pecking order can re-try the same level without any additional cost. After five phases of play, the top four players are awarded prizes ranging from $700 to $200.
Players can enter the tournament at any phase that they wish, although the cost of the buy in does rise with each level. The buy-in cost to enter the tournament at phase 5 currently stands at $160.
